Hi, i have been using mandrivia for the past few months now and i feel like a bit of a change. so i was wondering what distro you guy's would recomend that i change to, i need it to be easy to use as i have only been with linux for a few months. The main use for the system will be for games and internet based programs such as kopete and ephifany, etc).

Suse 9.3 would be good for you.
After installing, do the online update and make sure that you instal the Multi-media packages.
That said most of the popular distros will be good for you.
Since you are just trying out distros, give Debian a try.
You can get inexpensive cds and dvds from www.linuxcentral.com if you can not download a net install disk directly from www.debian.org
The new version is easier to install and you won't have to pay for upgrades every six months or so. Security updates are also easy and just a simple command away.
Just a thought.
Maybe you should try the latest versions of a few distros such as Suse, Ubuntu, Debian, Fedora, and Mepis, then make up your own mind which one you like. It won't take long to determine which one is best for you.
Good luck with it... 8)
As was mentioned above, the most comprehensive source for distros that I know of is DistroWatch any of the top 10 distributions on that site should do all you want, it's just a matter of which style fits you personally. No one can tell you that, you have to figure it out for yourself. Happy hunting.
