Installation process is similar for Internal Hard disk or External USB Disk. Make sure to disable Internal Hard disk in BIOS before starting installation in External Hard disk.
But is it possible to triple boot knoppix ubuntu and backtrack 4 r2
You can setup multiboot in any set of distros.
