How to install Linux on an existing software raid?
I have Ubuntu Linux installed on a software raid 0.
And I had serious headache getting that software raid to work.
Now time has come to change distro and I would really like if there was a way to install a Linux Mint distro over the Ubuntu without the need to struggle with getting the software raid to work. So I guess I am looking for a way to avoid the partioning part of the install.
For reasons I can not remember anymore I have these partitions on the software raid:
- 1: How can I go about installing Linux Mint without destroying that software raid?
- 2: If it is impossible to install new distro without destroying raid can people pls look at this step-by-step tutorial and tell me if it tutorial looks to be complete and correct?
I have done a complete backup so at least I will not loose any data, but I really hope there is an easy way to do this.
