I think the controller is at the end of the list here....RAID bus controller: CMD Technology Inc PCI0680 (rev02).....by the way cmd is silicon image.
the thing is is that it detects my two 120gb hd's fine but SEPARATELY
I have found however on www.linux-ide.org the following:
These companies have support for ATA-133 chipsets in Linux.
AEC-6880 M, AEC-6280, M chipsets by, ACARD Technologies.
SiI680,CMD680 chipsets by, CMD Technologies.
HPT302, HPT371, HPT372, HPT374 chipsets by, HighPoint Technologies.
PDC20269, PDC20270, PDC20271, PDC20274, PDC20275, PDC20276, PDC20277 chipsets by, Promise Technologies.
As u can see my Sil680/CMD680 chipset is there......so what gives? how do i get it to work like it does in windows? its set up in the bios ok.
Oh by the way i'm new to linux and am not that good at comandline stuff. So unfortunately you will have to explain stuff in annoying detail...sorry..
Any help is much appreciated
