impossible to boot windows
Let me tell you I have a little problem that's making me crazy....
I'll tell you the story from the begining :P
I had 2 partitions, a primary (where WindowsXP_x64 was installed) and an extended one (where WindowsXP 32 bits is still installed), i got bored of win_x64 and i deleted the partition and istalled linux instead.
The problem is that now GRUB doesn't recognize windows. I tryed to reinstall windows, but i got a message that says that windows has to write on the MBR but (i don't remember) that it is not compatible or damaged. I also tryed to run fixmbr and fixboot.. but it didn't solve anything.
I would like you to tell me some way of adding windows to grub's list (having into account that windows is on an extended partition)
Here my hard disc :D :
/dev/hda2 Linux Swap
/dev/hda3 Linux Native
/dev/hda4 Linux native
/dev/hda5 FAT32 --> here is windows xp
/dev/hda6 FAT32 --> just for backups
