kernel panic: VFS unable to mount root fs on unknown-block(3,1)
built LFS 6.0 using nALFS and a profile from NALFS.
hda1 = ext3
hda5 = ext3
hda6 = swap
any idea what might be causing this?
Re: kernel panic: VFS unable to mount root fs on unknown-block(3,1)
I am getting this same error message after I did the following steps:
I took a WinXP-dedicated computer and dualbooted
Red Hat 9.0 on it and decided to go with Fedora Core 4 instead. When I booted from the first ISO, however, I got the same "kernel panic..." message above and can't figure out how to add the / and /boot and SWAP partitions correctly.
