kernel problem

i have installed gentoo 2004 from stage1, I compiled two kernels (2.6.4) without any problem, whem I try to compile another kernel appear:

dnsdomainname host name lookup failure

arch/i386/kernelbuilt-in.o(_ksymtab+0x68)
make:***{.tmp_vmlinux1}Error

what can I do?
