Linux installer and Raid
Next to a HDD failure, i've to reinstall everything... I want now to setup my linux in raid1 (2*250Gb) and want to know if any distro is supporting raid1 at install without any manual patitionning?
It seems support for raid is improved in ubuntu 10.04 but it's still in beta2 stage...
I guess i'll have to do it manually, but no cost to ask it? :D
I was on ubuntu 9.10 before, but can change without trouble
Thanks for any advise.
Fedora supports installing on RAID in the gui, but it's not for the faint hearted. It's probably easier to convert an installed non-RAID system. Here's a decent looking howto, Arch-Linux based but with key instructions for using with Debian/Ubuntu. I don't guarantee it, but I've done this by hand myself on RH/Centos/Fedora, and it looks complete.

OpenSuSE allows easy md RAID setup via the GUI installer. Ubuntu does as well from the alternate installer CD.
There are several others as well.
