linux & raid!
i have a system running WinXP Pro on a RAID 0 with NTFS, (2x20GB) & another free 20GB disk. can i make a dual boot system: WinXP/Linux with the current RAID array?! (will the Linux be able to right the bootloader to that array?) if not, how should i make a dual boot, while still using a RAID array for the WinXP ?!
From what I've been told, it should not matter with RAID. That should be handled on it's own by the hardware. Creating and using different partitions shouldn't effect it.
Probably so. Unfortunately, I haven't had a H/W RAID moboto experiment with, so I can't say for sure, though.
Yea, in my next upgrade (finally a Pentium chip) I will make sure that the motherboard has builtin RAID capability.
