Can someone recommend a SIMPLE MTA server that can be installed on top of Linux? Please don't suggest using sendmail, postfix, etc.
What is needed is a product that has all of the needed features and can be easily installed.
Any help, hints or advice is appreciated.
It won´t get simpler than "ssmtp".
ssmtp can be used to send mails.
You cannot receive any.
Also, there is no feature above the very basics.
For real usage, I recommend.. postfix, qmail or sendmail :D
Sorry, but mail does have a certain complexity and spam/virii/abuse/etc doesnt make it easier.
So imho, there is no way but the hard way of reading and learning. Once you know the terms and the workflow of the smtp daemons, the config can be done.
Hi and and thanks for the response.

It seems to be possible to configure a mail server using YAST2.
Is there any documentation out there on how to do this?
