Only SuSe can be installed on my laptop very strange!
Hey, i was trying to install my favourite distro "Ubuntu" on my laptop:
Packard Bell C3245
AMD XP-M 2500+
512Mb Sodimm 266Mhz
30Gigabyte HD 5400rpm
I had a rather weird problem though. When i try to install any linux distribution on it, it always hangs in the beginning except for SuSe 9.1. For Example, when i put in Ubuntu or any other distro. When i pres install from the menu for 3 seconds some stuff comes on the screen (usual lines wich are nothing to worry about) then after 3 seconds the tft screen goes blank but stays lit. I trieds using "Install using Failsafe mode" and "Install using ACPI mode". Nothing seems to work though.
Can someone help me out here because i wan't to run Ubuntu on my laptop and not SuSe 9.1....
Forgive my crappy english :oops:. This is not my first post here but i created another account because i could not find my old one :lol:. I hope you guys can help me because i'm really sick of that windows XP on my laptop :wink:.
