Was shown a site called CCRMA, all the programs there are in rpm form, between that and the web I now have both rpm and (gz or b2z) files.
Considering jamd is already version 9, should I use the rpms, or should I use the zipped files, and how do they differ in use ????? :lol:
rpms are easier (ie. you just enter rpm -i filename.rpm or just double click it in Nautilus/Konquerer).
As to which is more up to date. Depends on the files that you have downloaded.
You can always try the RPM and if you don't like it, remove it by "rpm -e filename.rpm" .
