Red hut Raid problems
Hi, im very new to linux. I would like to have Windows XP & Linux together on my pc. I am using Promise Fast track 100. I have 2 exacly the same Maxtor hard drives in my pc wich are set to work as Stripe. Im not sure how to get it working. Can someone help me?
If you already have windows installed, you just have to install linux on the free-space of the disk and use dualboot. Then on bootup you can choose which os you want to run. Linux or Windows.
It doesnt want to
But when i get to the part when you have to partition the disks it says that it didnt find any proper disks.
what distro are u trying to isntall.
i dont have raid but ive heard mdk works pretty well with it but redhat tends to go all sulky when u try to isntall onto raid drives.
During boot, is the raid recognized?
You probably have to get drivers from promise and put them on a floppy so redhat can use them during install.
I did a quick search on google and found a howto for you to use. Google works wonders doesnt it?
