I installed Linux on my secondary drive, with Windows on the primary drive, while I was trying to dual boot.
I have now given up trying to dual boot, after wasting about 5 days!!
Now I have only the Linux drive connected and would like it to boot.
But I need to redirect the GRUB.CONF file as it refernces the Linux drive as being hdb and it is now hda.
I tried editing GRUB.CONF using vi and rewrote hd1 to read hd0 and deleted the Other OS reference, but sadly this didn't work.
When I boot all I get is
and a flashing cursor.
Can I rewrite this or should I just re-install???
i posted in your earlier thread. you already did more than half work... did you re-install grub ????
.... casper ....
I've given up and re-installed Linux AGAIN, but this time I've given up the dual boot thing.
Thanks for all your help!!!!
