How easy is it for the Debian installer to shove Debian on my 2nd HD, hdb without shafting Windows XP on my primary HD, hda?
Went to install it a few days ago and quickly pressed the off switch as I felt a bit out of me depth.

I really don't have a lot of experience with debian, but I would assume that you could just partiton hdb and install it there. I'm shure there are som people on this board that could elaborate on this :)
it is perfectly possible :D
when you cfdisk your hard drive, make sure you do hdb and the rest of the install should be a breeze.
I *think* you would install lilo to /dev/hda , but im not 100% sure.

yeah... you do.. if you don't the windows boot loader would still have control over the puter unless you told your BIOS to boot from second HDQuote:
