I have a PI machine with little RAM (16MB) and a small hard drive (1.2GB) and want to use this machine as a small web, ftp and perhaps IM server.
Any recommendations on which distribution to use?
Thanks!

Damn Small Linux. It is the smallest Linux distribution I can think of at the moment.

...or maybe a nothing-but-base-system Slackware install.
I second damn small linux, it comes with an attractive desktop right out of the box too =)
If you want to use a Linux distribution as a server I'd recommend Slackware.
It doesn't have dodgey packages, only tested ones.
Also, there is a kernel called "lowmem" (or something similar) on the first installation disc. It's a distribution which cares for old computers :)
