My trusty nine year old machine has finally bitten the dust. It was originally a windows machine but was converted to dual boot with two disks. The current linux disk is a about a year old. In an attempt to regain my system I have transplanted the Linux disk into another machine as the sole disk.
It will not boot. I suspect this is because I do not have the bootloader installed on to the MBR. I am using mandriva 2008.
Can anone advise how I fix this problem?
