Tri boot problem
So I figured I would try and do a tri-boot, but I think I must have done something wrong.
I have Windows installed on the first partition, Ubuntu on the second. With the third partition I have Mandriva. Since installing Mandriva I am no longer able to boot into Ubuntu, only Mandriva and Windows.
Any suggestions and help would be greatly appreciated. Im pretty new to Linux, but just wanted to try this out and goofed it up, it's no big deal as it's usuable still, but I would like to find out a way to resolve this.
Thanks in advance.
Is Mandriva now using grub? Or still using Lilo like back when I was running Mandrake? If grub, mount the partition your Ubuntu root is on. Then, with your favourite editor, open Ubuntu's /boot/grub/menu.lst and copy the section about Ubuntu. Paste this into Mandriva's /boot/grub/menu.lst between the Windows and Mandriva entries and save. When rebooting, you should then be able to see and boot Ubuntu as well when grub comes up. :)
I can only get menu.lst to be read only. Can't get it to save.
EDIT: Nevermind, it works! Thank you very much!
