Unable to install linux
I recently bought a new PC, and I have already installed windows 7. When I tried to install linux, It always crashes/not even start. I have been able to install debian, but, since I have no wired net, I can do almost nothing with it.
Ubuntu, Linux mint and Fedora crashes when I try to launch the dvd. openSUSE loads, let me format partitions, etc, but crashes when installing the linux kernel. I can load openSUSE either normal bot/UEFI, however I'm not interested in efi boot if I can avoid it. Finally debian dvd1 for computers w/out net installs, but since it hasn't got drivers for my wireless card is pretty useless.
My computer setup is:
Intel i7 2600K
WD 1 TB caviar black
Could be a video card issue. Try to install selecting basic video driver / text mode from install's first menu, if available.
Also, if you are overclocking anything, just putting everything at stock voltage during install.
It didn't work for openSUSE but worked for Mint, Thank you!!
