well, my brother decided thatwe should get linux off our computer which also has windows on it, so i used a liveCD and deleted the linux partition and its bootloader and made the windows one take all the space.
the problem now is that it will still go into the boot loader but it wont load anything and i cant access my windows partitions, what do i do now
what version of windows are you on?
if your on, 98 or 2000 and some other ones get a windows 98 boot disk (works with all) and type "fdisk /mbr" which will format the master boot record, removing the boot loader, or on XP get the disk and instead type "fixmbr". It's sad that your had to remove linux though :(
You will need to use the Windows install cd. Go into the recovery console. You will need the Administrator password.
Once you are in, type "fixmbr".
If you don't have access to a Windows cd or you do not know the Admin pass. And you have a floppy drive, you can boot with a Win98 bootdisk. And when you get to a command prompt, type "fdisk /mbr".
You can find what you need at www.bootdisk.com .
edit: nvm, it works now, thanks for the help :)
