linux usb on windows 7 professional NJ
Thanks to all the contributors with possible answers to my problems.
I have come to the conclusion that Windows 7 Professional N will not allow the use of a distinct O.S downloaded on a usb and installed with pendrive linux, universal installer,Usb creator or Unetbootin. but not installed on a partition on the hard drive
All the usb downloads work on XP.
All usb's work on XP
CD's work on any Distro.
The boot system is working for usb's.
The only response to any distro from any usb source is the error message:-
"Syslinux 3.86 2010- 04-01 Ebios copyright (c) 1994- 2010 Peter Anvin et al.
No default or UI configuration found !
No matter what I type in -it cannot find anything.
So obviously it is seeing the usb but not a boot loader which is seen by an XP system.
I am running out of ideas and patience
Has anybody had the same difficulties with 7 professional N?
