Weird Crash Behavior
I have the following:
64-bit multicore processor
RAID 1+0
16GB RAM
I've been running the Debian-based Proxmox VE on it for six months or so with no problems.
Today I loaded Centos 5.5 x64. During a reboot, the file system crashed and fsck couldn't repair.
I loaded it again, did all the updates, and loaded my applications. On about the third reboot, it crashed again and fsck couldn't fix it.
I don't really know where to begin. I doubt seriously that any hardware has went bad since yesterday.
So, I'm kind of clueless. I don't want to go down this road again.
If anyone has any ideas, I'm listening.

This sounds like a hardware compatibility issue to me. Can you update the bios on the system? What make+model is it? Is the CPU an Intel, or AMD part? What about the RAID controller driver? Did you install a driver from the manufacturer, or is it the default built-in RAID driver? What RAID hardware is in your system?
