    Disabling Devices

I need to disable a piece of hardware ( an internal U. S. B. hub or the U. S. B. controller ) , but I want to avoid disabling the driver . Can I specify hardware addresses to disable ? If not , can I add support for such a feature by modifying modprobe or a particular driver ?

usually there may not be need to disable devices. You may either want to take to alternatives like

    1. BIOS
    2. permission control on the /dev/ enttry for the device.
