I have a very similar problem. After upgrading the Sabayon kernel
from 2.6.22 to 2.6.23, the boot process stops with the message
"Block device /dev/Volgoup00/LogVol00 is not a valid root ...

LogVol00 is not a valid root device
I have a very similar problem. After upgrading the Sabayon kernel
from 2.6.22 to 2.6.23, the boot process stops with the message
"Block device /dev/Volgoup00/LogVol00 is not a valid root device"
The 2.6.22 kernel still boots.
I don't know if it matters, but I use ext4...
Any ideas?
