hi, i'm a newbie to kernel programming. i edited fs/read_write.c to incorporate some caching on NFS. But the path_walk() fails and it returns -530. what it means...??? can anyone help ...

    path_walk() returns errorno -530



    hi,
    i'm a newbie to kernel programming. i edited fs/read_write.c to
    incorporate some caching on NFS. But the path_walk() fails and it returns
    -530. what it means...??? can anyone help me????...... i'm working with 2.4.7-10 kernel on redhat 7.2. Thanx in advance.

    did you edit any of the variables that get passed to path_walk? that seems the most likely problem, you changed something that gets paseed to it, so all of its algorithms are shot.
