2.6.23 compiling with ALSA
Messing about with the kernel earlier, I discovered ALSA won't work (alsaconf doesn't detect my card) if it is compiled statically. With the exact same config, but ALSA compiled as a module, it works (detects sound card) fine.
Just wondering if this is normal, or if it's just something weird for me, and if it's ok, is there any particular reason?
