Can't find cdrom after updating kernel
I'm a rookie in Linux. The OS is running on VMware Workstation 6.0.0. My previous distribution is RedHat9. I updated the kernel to 2.6.18.4. But after restarting the computer, I wanna install Vmware tools ,while finding that /dev/cdrom didn't exist. When I mounted the cdrom, the error tips is "mount: special device /dev/cdrom does not exist".I have been working on this problem for days, however,it just didn't work. Wanna help
