"Error informing the kernal about modifications to /dev/sda16 -- Invalid Argument"
From a Debian live CD gparted gives a message "Error informing the kernal about modifications to /dev/sda16 -- Invalid Argument".
Same thing happens from a debian install CD.
Using fdisk I can partition but I cannot format /dev/sda16 even after rebooting.
The reason for that is that the device is not there. If I try to make the device with MAKEDEV I get a message saying MAKEDEV does not know how to make the device.
I would post to the debian list, but I thinkl debian has very little if anything to do with it, Seems more like a system issue.
