Problem after kernel compilation
Hi all,
I have a workstation that support SATA drives. I install Linux(in "Compatible" mode) OS with 2.6.18 kernel and upgrade it to 2.6.27 by compilation. When I try to boot my new kernel in "Enhanced" BIOS mode, I get this kernel messages:
---------------------------------------------------------
mount: could not find filesystem '/dev/root'
setuproot: moving /dev failed: No such file or directory
setuproot: error mounting /proc: No such file or directory
setuproot: error mounting /sys: No such file or directory
switchroot: mount failed: No such file or directory
Kernel panic - not syncing: Attempted to kill init!
---------------------------------------------------------
How to resolve this problem?
Thank you!
