Linux 2.6.17 -PCI interface-IRQ discrepency in sysfs and config space
I'm writing a driver for a PCI based Dual UART controller and there is disparity in the IRQ line assignments I'm getting from sysfs (IRQ 169 ) and config space (IRQ 05). I tried writing a shared interrupt handler using IRQ 5 but I got a message (irq 169: nobody cared (try booting with the "irqpoll" option)). I'm showing the screen outputs for both the methods below
Method 1: Gives IRQ 169
cat sys/bus/pci/devices/0000\:03\:00.0/ irq
169
Method 2:: gives IRQ 05
od -x sys/bus/pci/devices/0000\:03\:00.0 config

IRQ 5 seems to be right , but IRQ 169 seems to be coming in the way. Could someone tell me why this happens?
thanks
