    Unhappy compiling of kernel..........need help

    Hi everyone, i'm Arindam Chatterjee i want to compile & install Grub & Linux Kernel in to my pc. I do NOT wish to install any distro. of linux. I want to install linux manually..... so guys....plz HELP me out......thanx in advance.........

    Check Gentoo Handbook. You can install kernel and GRUB easily.
    It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.

    Not to discourage you from taking on this project but are you sure you want to tackle a "roll your own" distro project without any guides? At the least, check out the Linux From Scratch project.
