hi everyone,
i am currently using radhat 2.4.20-8(OS)
i have some task to compile radhat 2.2.14
so my higher version OS does not allow me to compile the kernal and it gives me some error
please help me

it would be helpful if you posted exact error message
what task are you doing that requires a 2.2 kernel?

Do you have an installer for the old(er) version of Red Hat? The one that can work with the 2.2.14 kernel? If so, then you should install it in a virtual machine, and build the 2.2.14 kernel there. Then you can test it out before deploying it. In any case, it has been years since anyone was using the 2.2 kernel.
Sometimes, real fast is almost as good as real time.
