    reboot on shutdown after upgrade kernel


    :P Hi frend..
    I install FC 2 on my laptop, then i upgrade the kernel to 2.6.9 and I face a problem after that
    my laptop cannot shutdown
    I had tried
    shutdown -h now and poweroff to shutdown my laptop but it didn't work my laptop just reboot after command something llike this:
    acpi power off

    anyone could help me..? [/img][/b]

    Have you tried just typing "init 1"?

    thanx for reply..

    i have tried typing 'init 1' but it just change to cl mode
    so i type 'poweroff' after that but its still go on reboot

    any other solution..?

    Maybe an option not activated in the acpi config kernel have u save ur .config file?
    If yes cut and paste so that we could see what u activated in ACPI stuff

    i think there is no metter with the config because i use the default config setting from the previous kernel and i had try this to other laptop with similar spec and its okay..
