    Hard is not detecting in etch


    I am trying to install the debian etch distribution in IBM X3650 M3.

    The hard disk is not detecting properly.

    4 x 500GB 10K 6GBps NL SAS 2.5
    Hot Swap HDD,

    Kindly help me out.

    This is a RAID device? If so, you may not have the kernel configured for it, or the Etch kernel (2.6.21 probably) does not support that hardware without a kernel module from the hardware vendor/manufacturer.
    Sometimes, real fast is almost as good as real time.
