How to build my own flavour of Linux?!
My aim is to understand comprehensively how an operating system works. I thought Linux would be the best place to start since its an open source OS.
Can somebody tell me how i can completely understand the implementation of the linux kernel,shell etc. I know its completely done in C.
But how do i start? Where can i download the source code from and how do i learn it?
My ultimate aim would be to build my own flavor of Linux so that i can understand how EVERYTHING works!!! Hopefully the replies to this thread is a start!
