Is SCTP RFC 4960 implementation backward compatible with RFC 2960 impl
Hi Guys,
I am new to this forum.
Just have a small query if somebody can help me out. Please excuse me the question is lame:
I have a system running on Linux. This also contains Kernel SCTP stack in it. This stack implementation is based on RFC 4960.
What i want to know is that if I can use this stack to create SCTP association with a peer which has an SCTP stack based on RFC 2960.
If NOT then what are the reasons. Basically i want to know if RFC 4960 is backward compatible with RFC 2960.
Would really appreciate any help on this.
Thanks and Regards
Sajal
