Idea for a compatibility CPU Layer
I was wondering why not to develop and make a abstraction layer over CPUs, so the calls to the processor are made by the layer who knows the specific CPU instruction and put to the developer a standard function to use it, so the user would be free to choose the arch without interesting in a specific distribution couse it would be all in one kernel, so no more needs to prepare specific archs packages.
What your opinion?
