How can I get the GIANFAR driver to initially limit itself to 10/100
I am using the "Gianfar" Ethernet Network Driver on a GIGE phi.
I would like to limit the network to 10/100 kbps link speeds during initial network configuration instead of letting it run GIGE?
Any ideas how this can be done?
Regards,

You will probably need to modify the driver so that when it is in the initialization/setup phase for the hardware, it sends a message to the board telling it to fall back to 100Mbps. How you do that depends upon the board so I can't tell you how it would be done for this specific device. However, the manufacturer's data sheet and documentation should tell you what lines/ports to twiddle.
Sometimes, real fast is almost as good as real time.
