read out of a slave register with a 2 byte address with an i2c bus
Hi experts!
Iīm kind of a noob so excuse mistakes i might make. so, my problem is i want to read information via an i2c bus out of a register with a 2 byte address. i would need something like "I2C Block Read" with 2 command bytes, but that doesnīt exist or i didnīt find it yet. The whole read operation should look something like:
from master to slave:
slave adress - msb of register address - lsb of register address - slave address (with read bit as lsb);
from slave to master:
the data in the register
Thanks for your help!

Have you looked at the i2c driver code yet? It's all there in its gory details...
