Only kernel in a hard disk
I think its right right place to post.
Is it possible to install only kernel in a hard drive? After installing it will it be easy to add programs and software application to it, or I have to understand Linux Kernel in detail.
And what about Linux from scratch?

Hello and welcome!

No, it takes more than just the kernel in order to boot and run Linux.
Yes, Linux From Scratch is a very good project to help you learn about the inner workings of Linux.oz
