How to inform a user-level thread an upcoming context switch

    Hi,

Within a pthread program, is there a way to write codes to explicitly check upcoming context switch behavior on this thread (e.g. check some signals sent from OS scheduler)?

    Thanks,

    Jeff

Not as far as I know. It may be possible if you modified the kernel to issue a signal to your application, but I don't know that this is currently possible. Have you posted this question on www.kernel.org forums?
Sometimes, real fast is almost as good as real time.
