    Linux subsystems


    Hi,

    i need to know what kind of subsystem are ide tapes, for scsi tapes have scsi_tape, i don't know if for ide tapes is similar ide_tape, or no. Also if someone would have some info where i can find list of all available subsystems in linux. Thanks.

    I think it's ide-tape but have no way to confirm. This document talks about the five main subsystems: http://oss.org.cn/ossdocs/linux/kernel/a1/index.html. It's short and interesting reading.
