    Well I recently installed Red hat 9. Its kernel version is 2.4. I was wondering if I could upgrade it to 2.6 or whatever is the latest. How do i do that?

    The best way (because you'll upgrade a lot of other stuff too) is to install Fedora Core 2 or higher. Redhat 9 is old.
