When I run make gconfig, does it load last saved?
I compiled 2.6.11 and it didn't work. I think I messed up Console display drivers, but I'm not sure. When the 2.6.11 kernal is loading it gets to 'BIOS data check successful' then black screen.
I can boot into the old 2.4.29 kernal. When I run 'make gconfig' it seems to load the config as I had last saved it. Is this true?
Also, do I have to run make modules and make modules_install again? Or can I just run make bzImage?'Linux is like a swiss army knife. Yet it never gets that "I'm bloated and need suspenders" feeling.' - www.arkaoss.com

I guess so...
But, to be sure, load the last saved yourself (I always do that).
