refaire le premier linux
Hello,
I have downloaded the all first version of the kernel linux: (the sources of linux-0.01)
ftp:\\ftp.uvsq.fr\pub\linux\kernel\historic\linux-0.01.tar.gz
I want to create a bootable OS from these sources then to copy it on a diskette then boot from the diskette on a virtual machine (VMWare), wholesale to remake the first linux.
This that I know:
I must have installed gcc on my PC to generate the OS
This that I do not know:
there is makefiles: how to use them to compile the sources?
Which file system i have to use on the diskette?
...
FYI: I use windows 2000, VMWare 5 and pentium 4.
Thank-you in advance,
