Upgrading kernel from 2.4 to 2.6
I have read that the newer 2.6 kernel provides improvements particularly on speed. First of all, here is my system:
Pentium II MMX 233 Mhz
96 MB RAM
Red Hat Linux 9
kernel 2.4.2
WMP54GS 802.11g card to configure
I've been having problems with the wireless card lately... Would a newer kernel help/solve this problem? Would it be a good idea to run the 2.6 kernel on my computer? If so, how would I go about upgrading the kernel?
