I'm updating from 2.4.29 to because I was having trouble getting Xwindows to work with my pic-x video card. Basically what it comes down to is I am a newb, and I dont know what new things I need to compile into this kernel. I have a Chaintech 6600gt PCI-X card. I'm not sure if the stuff that pci-x needs to function already comes pre-compiled into this kernel for what. Any help would rock. Thanks a million.

EDIT: I found where I enable PCI-X support,a nd I enabled all the sound stuff I needed, is there anything else I need to include in order to make PIC-X work?

If you enabled everything relevant under PCI, and all the required sound stuff, then you should be set.
