Can i unload alsa and load emu10k1 OSS module?
Hi.
I have compiled my 2.6.12.3 kernel including alsa driver and setting OSS emu10k1 like module for my PCI Creative Platinum Live! soundcard.
SO, can i now, after booting my kernel, unload alsa and load emu10k1 module? How?
Thanks,
marcus
PS: Besides, alsaconf doesn't recognize my Creative Platinum Live! soundcard!!

Did you compile ALSA as a module or built-in?

You'll need to compile the ALSA driver as a module.

So, you are saying that if i compile alsa buit-in kernel,
compiling OSS like module is vanishing. Isn'i it?

Well the only way you can remove a module is to make it a...erm...module instead of built-in.
