Updating the Kernel with Yum
I just installed the GUI version of yum (yumex) and finished a full update fo all my files except for the kernel. There are 2 kernel updates which i still haven't downloaded. they are
- kernel 2.6.14-1.1644_FC4
- kernel-devel 2.6.14-1.1644_FC4
Now my question is, if i use yum to update my kernel, is there anything additional that i need to upgrade the kernel apart from clicking on the update packages button, and maybe restarting the computer once yum is complete. Thanks.

No, it should install the new kernel and configure the boot menu and stuff when it installs. If you use any additional kernel modules (like NTFS or 3d graphics), you will need to install them again for the new kernel.
