Hello linuxforums!

Can somebody tell me if the "broken-out" files in

http://kernel.org/pub/linux/kernel/p...m4/broken-out/

are broken-out because those patches are broken, e.g. they don't work,
or because those patches are the same ones like those included in

http://kernel.org/pub/linux/kernel/p.../2.6.15-mm4.gz

but they are split into single files?


I need sony-acpi and sonypi. But I don't want to install all those mm4-patches because I don't know what most of them do. Are the files in "broken-out" usable for patching a vanilla kernel?
